Laura Carboni, Center Director
Leadership for a new phase.
Laura brings a vast and deep professional background to her work at Cancer Connection, and she’s delighted to serve in a role that utilizes many of her skills. After years of working in the non-profit sector, teaching yoga, and even running her own restaurant, she is now an End-of-Life Doula. She initially came to Cancer Connection as an Office Manager, learning our many systems, donors, and processes.
She then followed her heart and shifted into serving as a Befriender, offering deeply empathetic one-on-one support for Cancer Connection participants. Now, working in the newly created Center Director role, she is deeply honored to be using her 22 + years of experience in organizing workshops and retreats to support Cancer Connection's mission and participants through innovating programming, support groups, and integrative therapies.
In her rare free time, Laura runs her tiny farm with her husband and daughter, where she grows flowers, herbs, and vegetables
