Acupuncture is a safe and painless form of traditional Chinese medicine. In this system, the body is seen as having a network of pathways called meridians, through which the life force energy of the body, called qi (“chi”), flows. Very fine needles, which are sterile and disposable, are used to access this qi via specific points along the meridians in order to restore balance by helping to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities.
Acupuncture can help with a number of symptoms associated with various cancers, as well as side effects from such treatments as chemotherapy and radiation. Symptoms commonly treated by acupuncture include pain, fatigue, anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress, lack of appetite, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, headache, muscle tension, diarrhea, constipation and hot flashes.
It is recommended that acupuncture treatments be scheduled weekly for about six weeks, at which time progress may be evaluated and the treatment plan adjusted accordingly.

with Ralph Lowen
Storytelling is good for us. Each of us is an amalgam of our family histories and stories and we draw our strength from them – from the challenges we've overcome to the things that make us laugh.
Ralph enables participants to share their stories through the perspective of what future generations might ask. Starting with a simple question, like, What was your first job, or When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? or How did you learn to drive? Participants record their stories and preserve them to share with friends and family. Ralph hopes to create an archive for the families of each participant to have for years to come. Learn more about Ralph and "I Wish I had Asked" in this short (3 1/2 mins) video.
